History of CUBE Bicycles

Some CUBE Bicycle & E-bike PDF Manuals above the page.

Today the name Cube is synonymous with the highest quality bike.

These are the most technologically advanced bikes in Europe.

Unlike many other bicycle brands whose production is located in China, Cube assembles its products in its own factories in Germany.

Although many components are still manufactured in Asia, the company's engineers have high demands on them.

Thanks to this, a truly strict European quality control is ensured.

The founding of the Cube bicycle brand dates back to the 90s, when cyclists began to take a massive interest in mountain bikes.

Today it is one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world and the largest in Germany.

The founder was Markus Pürner, who, as a student, began assembling bicycles on frames ordered in Asia.

The first production was a small department at his father's furniture factory in the small German town of Waldershof.

In 2013, 10 years after the first bike sold, the company had 300 employees who assembled about 400,000 bikes a year.

Today, the company's production area occupies 20,000 sq. m.

Initially, the bike was called Slickrock, then Move, but it turned out that such brands already exist.

Yes, and there were problems with the Cube - its claims were put forward by Nissan, which already had a car model with that name.

Early on, the brand faced financial difficulties, plus several founders left the company early on and formed their own brand, Ghost, which subsequently formed a Cube of competition.

Finally, in 2016, the company opened a new factory in its hometown of Waldershof, as the existing production facilities located here no longer meet the growing demand for quality bikes.

It is now the most technologically advanced bicycle plant in Europe, with warehouses for assembly and finished products, headquarters, showroom, design department and a completely renovated test laboratory.
